While knocking on hundreds of doors, chatting with you on your front porches, visiting with you in your businesses, again and again I am hearing the same thing: your extreme concern for the future of our families, small businesses and state.

I listen to moms like Debbie in South Denver, who is frustrated about clipping coupons and trying to stretch the family budget while government continues to grow (more on budget issues);

I listen to Jeff, an unemployed construction worker in Englewood who fears going another week without finding work (more on jobs);

I listen to our small business neighbors, who like me, worry about taxes and regulations (more on taxes and regulation).

Now is the time to say, enough! A recession is not time to increase taxes and fees on businesses and families. Legislators need to work together and balance our budget. Government needs to get out of the way so businesses can create jobs.

As your next State Representative, I will stand up to the status quo and be your voice at the state capitol.
